Enum AuditySourceMode

How a Sound sources its audio.

Declaration
public enum AuditySourceMode : byte

Clip PCM is decoded up front into the program’s PCM bank. Enables pitch, loop regions, crossfaded loops and sample-exact triggering. Requires a readable/decompressable clip and holds decompressed PCM in memory. Shown in the UI as “In-Memory”.

Declaration
[InspectorName("In-Memory")]
Sampler = 0

The AudioClip plays through its own built-in generator instance, pulled by Audity and resampled for pitch. Whole-clip looping only; instances are pre-stocked so triggers are usually still immediate. Forces the Wave Player to a single cut-mode voice (instance lifetime is pipe-mediated).

Declaration
Streamed = 1

Tier 2: PCM is paged on demand from a DecompressOnLoad clip via main-thread GetData windows prefetched over the pipe - full sampler semantics (seek, loop regions, crossfaded loops, jumps) without the duplicate resident bank.

Declaration
Paged = 2

Authoring-only: the compiler’s tier planner resolves to Sampler, Paged or Streamed per clip (clip load type + length heuristic). Never appears in a compiled program.

Declaration
Auto = 3
